Ground was broken Tuesday in Bliss, ID, for what Idaho Gov. C. L. "Butch" Otter and various General Electric (GE) executives touted as the state's largest wind power project -- a 183 MW, 122-turbine complex described as 11 linked wind farms. A unit of GE is one of several nonmanaging equity partners in the $500 million Idaho Wind Project, which will use 1.5 MW GE turbines.( more )
